Scotland, England, Switzerland & Greece in 16 days - May 28 to June 13, 2010. Our European trips were originally inspired by our love for Ballroom Dancing. This trip not only includes the spectacular Blackpool Dance Festival, but also an amazing excursion throughout Europe. We will visit FOUR spectacular European cities during our trip. SCOTLAND 3-Nights

Discover Edinburgh’s majestic and inspiring history. As we tour Scotland’s capital city, we’ll visit both the New and Old Towns, places of interest such as Edinburgh Castle, the National Museum of Scotland, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Visit local pubs, hear Scottish folk music.

We’ll also visit Glasgow, one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan
destinations in Europe. Considered the most vibrant and exciting of Scottish cities, it boasts excellent museums and art galleries as well as beautiful park lands and buildings. Treat yourself to a visit of the Jewel of Scotland, the city whose inhabitants work hard and play hard.

ENGLAND 4-Nights

We’ll see the best amateur and professional dancers in the world compete in Ballroom and Latin dancing. Explore the Winter Gardens, see the most amazing dance costumes from the dance vendors and try the local version of fish and chips. You’ll tour the gorgeous Tower ballroom and spend an afternoon there for high tea and social dancing.

Enjoy the many shops in Blackpool, head to the beach and walk the three piers overflowing with “Atlantic city boardwalk” festivities, or head out of town on the train to Liverpool for a Beatles tour.

SWITZERLAND 4-Nights

Get to know the international city of Geneva in the south of Switzerland. We’ll enjoy Geneva’s scenic lakeside location, famous monuments and attractions. Get a taste of Geneva’s history with the Tramway Tour and walk through the Old Town. We’ll cruise Lake Geneva on the “Cruise of the Mermaid” and see the famous Water Fountain Jet d’Eau.

You’ll spend the day in the Swiss mountains on a day trip to the Alps. You’ll take a cable car to the top of a Glacier and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps. Explore the beautiful Swiss Riviera through the cities of Montreux and Chillon, travel through the beautiful Swiss countryside and visit the famous Chateau of Chillon.

GREECE 4-Nights

From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, you’ll see all the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens. We’ll tour the past with a visit to the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Acropolis, Athens’ crowning beauty. Highlights include the impressive Parthenon, the Temple of Athena with its Porch of Maidens and the Plaka, the historic Greek neighborhood.
We’ll take a half day tour to one of many ancient archaeological sites (the Agora or Corinth). Learn the history of ancient Greece and it’s mythology.

We’ll end our final day in Greece with a cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands. You’ll set sail for the island for a relaxing day on the sea. Enjoy the islands with free time for strolling, shopping and swimming.
